MyTERA PRIVACY POLICY

At MyTERA, Inc. “MyTERA,” one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This MyTERA Privacy Policy contains types of information that may be collected, recorded, and/or shared by MyTERA which visitors of MyTERA access online at www.mytera.io and how this information is used by MyTERA. This policy is not applicable to any information collected offline or via channels other than this website.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

The purpose of MyTERA is to help with the characterization, evaluation, control, and management of occupational health hazards. MyTERA does have an Occupational Health Survey that is used to determine how the MyTERA team can help you with occupational health services or products to help keep you safe from occupational health hazards. You will have the option to fill out a survey where the following information will be collected:

  1. Are you exposed to occupational health hazards in your workplace or at home? Option to select listed health hazards.
  2. Have you or your company done risk assessments for the selected health hazards and your respective tasks that are performed to determine what controls (i.e., engineering, administrative, or personal protective equipment) are needed to reduce the risk of exposure?
  3. Have you or your company done the required sampling or monitoring (e.g., air sampling for chemicals or sound surveys for noise) for the selected health hazards?
  4. Have you or your company done the required health surveillance (e.g., audiograms, respiratory function tests, blood tests, biological monitoring, or allergy tests) for the selected health hazards?
  5. Check what major industry you work in.
  6. How many employees does your company have?

This is general information that the MyTERA team can use to determine how to help you. This information is not considered to be Protected Health Information (PHI) as there are no specifics to the concentration or amount of exposure that you may be exposed to, nor does it ask for the health status of you as an individual. It is used to determine how to help you, or your company be in compliance with applicable health standards and regulations.

    If you contact us directly, we may receive additional information about you such as your name, email address, phone number, the contents of the message and/or attachments you may send us, and any other information you may choose to provide.

    HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

    MyTERA uses the information we collect in various ways, including to:

    • Provide, operate, and maintain our website;
    • Improve, personalize, and expand our website;
    • Understand and analyze how you use our website;
    • Develop new products, services, features, and functionality;
    • Communicate with you;
    • Provide you with updates and other information relating to MyTERA;

    LOG FILES

    MyTERA follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and are a part of hosting services' analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable unless they complete an occupational health survey. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.

    COOKIES AND WEB BEACONS

    Like any other website, MyTERA uses cookies. These cookies are used to store information including visitors' and users’ preferences, and the pages on the website that the visitors and users accessed or visited. The information is used to optimize the visitors’ and users' experience by customizing our web page content based on visitors’ and users’ browser type and/or other information.

    ADVERTISING PARTNERS PRIVACY POLICIES

    Third-party ad servers or ad networks use technologies like cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons that are used in their respective advertisements and links that may appear on the MyTERA website, which are sent directly to users' browser. They automatically receive your IP address when this occurs. These technologies are used to measure the effectiveness of their advertising campaigns and/or to personalize the advertising content that you see on websites that you visit. It should be noted that MyTERA has no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third-party advertisers.

    THIRD PARTY PRIVACY POLICIES

    The MyTERA Privacy Policy does not apply to other advertisers or websites. Thus, we are advising you to consult the respective Privacy Policies of these third-party ad servers for more detailed information.     The MyTERA website may be accessed by children; however, we encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their child’s online activity.

    The MyTERA website does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information (PII) from children under the age of 18. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.
